What is it? A dome shaped barrier that is put at the top of the vagina or over the cervix before sex.

How effective? 91% effective at best. Failure rates of up to 40% have been found.

Good points Can be put in any time before sex, protects against cancer of the cervix. Oves Cap can be left in for 3 days

Bad points Initially, needs to be fitted by a doctor or nurse to get the right size.Triggers cystitis ( bladder infection) in some women. Higher failure rate seen in women who have had children.

Does it protect against infections? Probably
